三、申报单位简况：太原大学是1984年经山西省人民政府批准成立并经教育部备案的，太原市人民政府主办的一所具有普通高等学历教育资格的多科性高等职业院校。现有两个二级学校（太原大学教育学院、太原大学外语师范学院）、三个校区。位于太原市杏花岭区的校本部占地面积73亩，现有建筑面积6.5万平方米，教职工280名，其中教授11名、副教授55名、讲师60名。在校生专科生4500名，其中：全日制专科生3800名、本科生120名、函授生500名。学校还设有中国人民大学成人教育学院山西分院、太原科技大学合作办学点。
四、项目概况
（一）项目内容：该项目选址在太原小店区农牧场，经山西省国土部门批复，太原大学新校区规划占地约1000亩，总建筑面积29.6万平方米，主要建设内容包括：教学楼、图书馆、行政楼、实验实训中心、体育馆等。
（二）项目投资估算：总投资约725万美元。
（三）项目配套条件情况：可以满足施工及使用的需要。
（四）项目建成后的市场预测及效益分析：该校建成后，可容纳本、专科学生10000名，不但整合了太原市的高等教育资源，缓解了太原地区应届毕业生上学难的问题，也为山西省及太原市社会经济建设提供了大量的应用型人才。
五、项目申报初审进展情况
符合国家和省产业政策。新校建设项目已经山西省发改委批准立项，太原市规划局批准项目选址意见书，办理完成土地初审和预审，正在办理土地转用手续。

3. Brief Introduction to the Organizer
Taiyuan University was founded in 1984 after approved by Shanxi Provincial government and registered by Ministry of Education. It is a vocational college of higher education with multi-subjects sponsored by Taiyuan municipal government which has the qualification to grant regular higher education degree. Now it has 2 second-level colleges (i.e. College of Education and Foreign Languages Institute) and 3 campuses. The headquarter is located at Xinghualing District of Taiyuan City which covers an area of 73 mu with the existing building area to be 65,000 square meters. Now there are 280 teachers and staff members, including 11 professors, 55 associate professors and 60 lecturers. Meanwhile, there are 4,500 junior college students on enrollment, including 3,800 full-time junior college students, 120 undergraduate students and 500 correspondence students. In addition, it has also set up Shanxi Branch College of Adult Education College of People's University of China and Cooperative Education School of Taiyuan Science & Technology University.
4. Project Overview
4.1 Project Content
The project will be sited at agriculture and husbandry field of Xiaodian District in Taiyuan City. After approved by Shanxi Provincial Land & Resources Authority, the new campus will occupy an area of about 1000 mu with the building area to be 296,000 square meters in total. The main construction involves with teaching building, library, administrative building, laboratory center and sports hall, etc.
4.2 Investment Budget
The total investment is estimated to be 7.25 million USD.

The supporting facilities could satisfy the requirement of construction and service.
4.4 Market Forecasting & Economic Benefit Analysis
When the construction of new campus is completed, it will be able to accommodate 10,000 undergraduate and junior college students. Thus it will not only reorganize the higher education resources in Taiyuan City, but also relieve the difficulty of the current year’s graduates to be enrolled by high education school in Taiyuan area. Meanwhile, it will provide a great deal of applied talents for the social and economic construction in Taiyuan City and Shanxi Province.
5. Progress of the Preliminary Review of the Applied Project
The project is in accordance with the industrial policies set up by the state as well as the province. It has been registered by Shanxi Provincial Development & Reform Commission. The plant site selection letter has been approved by Taiyuan Urban Planning Bureau. Now the primary examination and pre-examination of the land to be occupied have been completed. It is under the progress of land right transfer.
